Week 3 Fantasy Football Start Em/Sit Em

Week 3 is upon us and it's either time for you to start separating yourself from the pack or gain some ground on the teams that jumped out to a fast start. There's plenty of time left in the season, but you're going to have to make some tough decisions with your line up. We've already seen quite a few stars go down so your teams depth is key. Here are the players we think you should start and sit to have the best chance at winning in your match-up this week.

Alex's Starts

Cam Newton QB, Carolina - New Orleans has been very generous to starting QB's in the first two weeks. The Panthers are light at WR, but Cam's running ability makes up for that.

Ronnie Hillman RB, Denver - This may seem risky with C.J. Anderson getting the start, but Hillman is a better pass catcher and should have plenty of opportunities against a weak Detroit defense.

Allen Robinson WR, Jacksonville - The Jags will be passing a lot this game, and Blake Bortles will look towards A-Rob early and often.

Alex's Sits

Matthew Stafford QB, Detroit - For one, he's playing injured. For two, have you watched the Denver pass rush this year? They're going to be too much for Stafford.

DeMarco Murray RB, Philadelphia - The Jets' defense is one of the best in the league, and Murray, who's also dealing with a hamstring issue, will be bottled up again.

Brandin Cooks WR, New Orleans - Drew Brees isn't playing in this one. The Panthers are going to be looking to take away Cooks just like Tampa Bay did last week.

Mike's Starts

Tyrod Taylor QB, Buffalo - The Bills are facing a questionable Miami Defense, which isn't what everyone thought they would be. Tyrod's been a Top 5 QB so far, and with his running ability, that trend should continue.

Melvin Gordon RB, San Diego - The Vikings defense is suspect against the run. This will be the week the rookie finally breaks through and gets into the end zone!

Brandon Marshall WR, New York Jets - All of the questions about Marshall coming into the season look to be answered with his great start. He has a good match-up this week against Philly as well.

Mike's Sits

Sam Bradford QB, Philadelphia - The Eagles offense is going to get on track at some point, it just isn't going to be against the Jets.

Mark Ingram RB, New Orleans - No Drew Brees to take some pressure off of the Saints' run game. Add that in with the fact they're playing a stingy Carolina run defense. That isn't a recipe for success.

Golden Tate WR, Detroit - He's been struggling this season already, and he gets to face the leagues #1 pass defense in Week 3. It doesn't look like it's going to work out for him.

Hagan's Starts

Marcus Mariota QB, Tennessee - The Colts secondary is absolutely depleted right now, and the Colt offense should finally get on track this week. Marcus should have to throw a lot if the Titans have any shot to send Indy to 0-3.

Latavious Murray RB, Oakland - Murray is a true three down back, and will have an opportunity to put up big numbers in Cleveland. I see him getting 20+ touches this week.

Donte Moncrief WR, Indianapolis - Moncrief is shining in his second NFL season. Andre Johnson hasn't asserted himself like everyone thought heading into the season. The Colts are due for a big offensive game, and Donte is doing the most with his opportunities.

Hagan's Sits

Ryan Tannehill QB, Miami - The Dolphins QB had a solid game last week... That was against the Jaguars. He gets a Bills D that was embarrassed by Tom Brady. That won't happen two weeks in a row.

Lamar Miller RB, Miami - The same reason I'm sitting his QB. I don't like this match-up against Buffalo.

Jordan Matthews WR, Philadelphia - Jordan has been the only bright spot on the Eagles so far this year. Unfortunately he gets to line up on Revis Island when they play the Jets. This doesn't turn out well very often.
